MSTRKRFT,

my sister's been blasting the new usher track non-stop lately. and i really couldn't stand it. but ofcourse MSTRKRFT come along and make me love it. their remix is brash, completely transforming the original song into an electro stormer. then mid-way they mix things up with a piano solo. then they bring the beat back, actual ecstacy.

this got me thinking about all the insane remixes that MSTRKRFT have gifted us. their own stuff is out of this world don't get me wrong, but they've always had an uncanny knack for reinventing other peoples music. here are some of the best examples.

download: usher - love in this club (MSTRKRFT remix)

download: chromeo - tenderoni (MSTRKRFT remix)

download: metric - monster hospital (MSTRKRFT remix)

download: justice - D.A.N.C.E. (MSTRKRFT remix)

  2. Yeah it is a good track, besides the fact that JFK and Al-p just took that piano break right out of the ending of Layla by Eric Clapton...
I guess they could be paying homage to Eric, but probably not.
