abc and blood red shoes,

there's a couple of gigs i'm going to at abc soon. it seems a lot of the bigger "scene" bands and artists are starting to play there, as opposed to the academy. so today's features are some of those acts that will soon be gracing the stages of abc 1 and 2, more precisely those i plan to see.


carrying on the trend of singers i wouldn't kick out of bed, it's blood red shoes! just back in the UK from a quick jaunt in japan, the boy/girl outfit (just don't compare them to the white stripes) have started their album tour. said album, out april 14th, is titled "box of secrets", and thanks to premature leaking i've heard it and loved it. the singles "i wish i was someone better" and "it's getting boring by the sea" are standouts but it's a shame that one of my favourite tracks hasn't made it on, "how to pass the time".
