zooey deschanel presents she and him,

after seeing her in the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy and elf (and a brief appearance in the amazing the assasination of jesse james by the overly long title) i've had a bit of a crush on zooey deschanel for a while. with those big blue eyes how the hell couldn't you fancy her? one thing i noticed is that she likes to sing in movies, and she wasn't half bad at it either.

that foreshadowing leads to the introduction of she and him, an american band fronted by the afore mentioned zooey and americana poster boy m. ward. bluesy pop is their trademark, their songs catchy and tender. fairly untoured, (perhaps due to zooey's film career), they made a rare appearance at this years SXSW, with a couple more US dates on the way.

the little ditty they play in the video isn't bad but "why do you let me stay here" is the best track i've heard from them. not managed to get a hold of the album yet but the rest of the stuff i've heard is pretty strong too. here it is to download, and download it you should. it's a gem:

download: she and him - why do you let me stay here

again, the download track is not the one in the video (it's much better). stay safe.
