frightened rabbit,

my friends have been following this band for some time and no matter how many tracks they'd play me i wasn't impressed. in fact i was quite stubborn in my loathing of frightened rabbit's depressing and boring sound. those friends will no doubt be smirking while reading this paragraph thinking to themselves "i told you so", but sadly friends this is not a "yeah they're actually quite good, you were right" post it's more of a "i was right, 95% of their stuff is shit, but they do have one half decent song" post.

that single good track is "modern leper". off of their new record "the midnight organ fight". i'll still testify that the first LP is droning, dull crap, but this tune is actually quite tuneful. i'll admit i've not yet heard the second album in it's entirety so perhaps rabbit have pulled something out of the bag and reinvented themselves since i last heard them, but i'm not holding my breath. i'm continuing to refuse to like a band just because they sing in a scottish accent (ok that was an in joke).
